Colocasia

‘Pharaoh's Mask Red’
Colocasia 'Pharaoh's Mask Red' is another unusual selection from breeder Brian Williams that is striking in the garden. The large green leaf displays an emerging white center mid-rib and veins that turn to dark pink or red if planted in full sun. The unusual red mid-rib and veins are raised up from the leaf while at the same time the leaves push out and the edges pull back giving it a 3D effect. 'Pharaoh's Mask Red' is a fantastic compliment to the dark coloring of 'Pharaoh's Mask'. Colocasia are great at creating a tropical feel in the garden or pool side as well as adding movement, texture and bold leaves to the garden. The flower is typically hidden by the foliage and is not very showy. Deer and rabbit resistant. Photo courtesy of Brian Williams at Brian's Botanicals.
