Solidago petiolaris

Solidago petiolaris is a native perennial with very showy spikes of flowers in the late summer into fall. Bright yellow flowers attract pollinators like bees, wasps and 112 species of butterflies and moths to the garden. Goldenrod is drought tolerant once established and prefers full sun. Deer resistant too. This selection is one of the winners of the Georgia Pollinator Plant of the Year award from the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia in Athens, GA. Photo by Shannah Montgomery
